Project Summary
PTS was engaged to provide Structured Cabling System Consultancy for a Global Investment & Financial Services Bank’s new 400,000 sqft Headquarters (HQ).

The scope included the design, procurement & implementation of a concurrently maintainable Structured Cabling System with a total of 2 Technology Equipment Rooms (TER) & 21 Technology Rooms (TR) on 10 floors across 2 towers.
Challenges
The project involved numerous business departments, which resulted in evolving end-user requirements during the Design, up to the Construction phase.
The headquarters served over 400 traders and 2,000 back-office users. The design of the cabling system needs to be resilient & concurrently maintainable, minimising network downtime.
Solution & Outcomes
PTS designed a grid-pattern cabling system for both low- and high- level installations with variable GOP densities to accommodate different business setups and layouts. The grid design provided the flexibility that was needed to accommodate the change requests.
“Salt & Pepper” cabling system design was implemented on the trading floor to to avoid single points of failure & a resilient network with minimised downtime.

PTS successfully implemented a resilient and concurrently maintainable cabling system that met the client's evolving needs, demonstrating its expertise in delivering scalable and reliable solutions for complex, mission-critical environments. A total of over 20,000 runs of CAT6A cables & 150 km of OM4 Fibre Optics was installed to provide seamless network connectivity to 3,000 over staff.
