LinkedIn, the world's Largest Professional Networking Social Media Company, embarked on an APAC-wide upgrade of its Unified Communication (UC) Systems with PTS to transition its existing meeting rooms to its latest Global UC Standard.
PTS served as the Audio Visual (AV) Consultant and Technology Project Manager for the multi-site project and provided:
End-to-end Audio Visual Consultancy (Including Equipment Audits of All Rooms, MTR Room Design, Procurement Oversight, Testing & Commissioning, and Handover)
Multi-Site Programme Coordination & Technology Project Management
Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) Implementation Coordination & Oversight
Asset Tagging & Documentation
Digital Twin Scans

Project Highlights: Locations: The project spanned nine cities, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, Sydney, Melbourne, Mumbai and Bangalore
Timeline: March 2024 - December 2024 (10 Months) Scale: Est. 267 Standard Rooms & 23 Bespoke Rooms across 9 APAC Offices
Purpose: Audit and upgrade all meeting spaces in the regional offices to Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) Standards, with minimum downtime

Key Components of the Engagement
1) Hardware & Room Assessments
Site Survey & Audit of existing Meeting Rooms / Spaces
Documentation of existing Equipment to check if they are natively compatible with MTR / re-usable
Submission of Report with annotations by Space Type, which included: ~ 267 Meeting Rooms of various sizes (Huddle, Team, Small / Medium / Large / X-Large Conference Rooms) ~ 23 Specialty Spaces
2) Technology Architecture Migration
Migrated from codec-based architecture to a compute-based MTR system (running on Windows with Teams Room software)
3) Control & Peripheral Integration
Redesigned Control Panels, Room Scheduling Interfaces and Whiteboard Cameras to align with MTR Standards
4) Licensing & Administration Changes
Updated licensing to Microsoft Teams Room Licensing, managed in Microsoft Teams Admin Center (TAC)
5) User Experience Shift
Meeting interface standardised and transitioned to “Join Teams”
Planned for Cloud Video Interop (CVI) where legacy endpoints remained
6) Comprehensive Asset Documentation and Digital Twin Creation
Full Asset Tagging and Inventory Documentation of all equipment
Matterport 360 Scans of all offices enabling Virtual Walkthroughs

Over 290 Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTRs) were successfully deployed across 9 cities in Asia Pacific—all within just 10 months.
This large-scale transformation was recognised as the Winning Project in the Connecting Meeting Spaces category at the Inavate APAC Awards 2025— and serves as testament to our ability to deliver complex, cross-border technology deployments while maintaining consistent quality and business continuity.
Driving this success was our strategic project management approach, which accelerated delivery timelines and established a sustainable model for efficient regional rollouts — all without disrupting day-to-day operations.
